Collection of General Information

When you visit our website, information of a general nature is collected automatically. This information (server log files) includes the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and such like. This is exclusively information which allows no conclusions to be drawn about your person. This information is technically necessary in order to deliver any website content you have requested correctly and accumulates necessarily when using the Internet. We statistically evaluate anonymous information of this type in order to optimise our web presence and the technology behind it.

Cookies

Like many other websites we also use what are known as “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server onto your hard drive. Through these we automatically receive certain data concerning your computer and your connection to the Internet, such as your IP address and the browser and operating system you use.

Cookies cannot be used to launch programs or transfer viruses to a computer. Using the information contained in cookies we are able to facilitate navigation for you and enable the correct display of our web pages.

We will under no circumstances pass on the data we collect to third parties or, without your consent, create a link to personal data.

You can, of course, also view our website in principle without cookies. The default settings of most internet browsers allow cookies to be accepted. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the corresponding settings in your Internet browser. Please use the Help function in your Internet browser to learn how to change these settings. Please be aware that individual functions of our website may not work if you have disabled the use of cookies.

SSL Encryption

In order to protect your data when being transmitted we use state-of-the-art encryption processes (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.

Contact Form

If you contact us by e-mail or via the contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purposes of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions.

Deletion and/or Blocking of Data

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and minimisation. For that reason, we will store your personal data only for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or for the various storage periods provided for by law. Once we no longer need your data for the purpose for which we collected it, or the storage periods have expired, your data will be blocked and deleted as a matter of course and in accordance with legal requirements.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter: Google). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of our website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Because IP anonymisation has been activated on this website, your IP address will, however, be truncated by Google beforehand within Member States of the European Union or in other countries which are contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating how you use the website, compiling reports on website activities and providing further services related to website and Internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transferred by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser software. However, we would like to point out that if you do so, it may not be possible for you to make use of the full scope of all this website’s functions. You can also prevent the data generated by the cookie and related to your usage of this website (including your IP address) from being transmitted to and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available through the following link: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

In addition to or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our website by adding an opt-out cookie which will then be stored on your end device. This will prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics in future for this website and for this browser for as long as the cookie remains installed on your browser.

Use of Script Languages (Google Webfonts)

In order to present our content correctly and with visually appealing graphics, we use script and font libraries on this website, such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Webfonts are transferred to avoid multiple downloads in your browser’s cache. If your browser does not support Google Webfonts or prevents access to it, the content will be shown in a standard font.

Accessing script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is therefore theoretically possible for operators of such libraries to collect data; it is, however, currently unclear whether this is the case and, if so, for what purposes it may be used.

You can find the data protection policy of the library operator Google here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps API for the visual display of geographical information. During the use of Google Maps, Google also collects, processes and uses data on the visitor’s use of the map function. More detailed information on the processing of data by Google can be found at Google data privacy notices. In the data protection centre you can also change your personal data protection settings.

Google Ads

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you arrive at our website via an advert placed by Google, Google Ads will set a cookie on your computer. The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an advert delivered by Google. These cookies lose their effectiveness after 30 days and cannot be used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google are able to recognise that you have clicked on the advert and have been forwarded to this page.

Every Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be traced via the websites of Ads customers. The information that is gathered with the help of conversion cookies serves to produce conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. As a result, the customers are informed about the total number of users who have clicked on their advert and been forwarded to a site with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which the users could be personally identified.

If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can decline the setting of the cookies required for this; this can be done, for example, via your browser settings, which disable the automatic setting of cookies generally, or by setting your browser up in such as way that cookies are blocked from the domain “googleleadservices.com”.

Please note that you cannot delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want to record measurement data. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you must reset the opt-out cookie.

Use of Google Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. This function serves to present adverts to website visitors within the Google advertising network based on the visitors’ interests. A so-called cookie is stored in the browser of the website visitor which enables it to recognise the visitor again when he/she visits these websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, users are presented with adverts that relate to content that the users previously accessed on websites that use Google’s remarketing function.

According to its own statements, Google does not collect any personal data in this process. Should you nevertheless not wish to use Google’s remarketing function, you can deactivate this in principle by changing the corresponding settings under http://www.google.com/settings/ads . Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions under http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

Your rights to Information, Correction, Blocking, Erasure and Objection

You have the right to request information on your data stored by us at any time. You also have the right to the correction, blocking or, except for the mandatory data storage of data for business processes, erasure of your personal data. For this, please contact our Data Protection Officer. The contact details can be found at the bottom of this statement.

In order for the blocking of data to be complied with at all times, this data must be kept in a lock file for control purposes. You can also request the erasure of the data, provided there is no statutory archiving obligation. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data on request.

You can make changes to or revoke a consent with effect for the future by sending a corresponding notice to us.

Change to our Data Protection Regulations

We reserve the right to adjust this data protection statement occasionally to ensure it complies with updated legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the data protection statement, e.g. when introducing new services. When you next visit our website, the terms of the new data protection statement shall then apply.
